We're looking for an experienced Engineering Technologist to perform product verification/qualification testing and other related technical lab support throughout all stages of the product development and manufacturing life cycle
As a successful candidate, you’ll be working in the Manufacturing Department and report to the VP of Manufacturing
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Perform initial assembly and reworking of prototypes to support the development team and provide rapid prototype development.
- Support project teams in the development of test plans and procedures, as required by the project manager, to ensure effective verification and qualification testing.
- Demonstrate proficiency using lab equipment and debug techniques to ensure products meet design requirements.
- Participate in the quality system to ensure design teams consistently produce high quality results.
- Generate test results and other related documents, to provide evidence that product meets high quality standards, customer requirements, and agency requirements.
- Review and understand test standards, including agency standards, to ensure requirements are met and adhered to.
- Perform design verification testing, including agency submittal and off-site testing, and communicate status to the development team in a timely manner.
- Participate in product development team design reviews as requested to ensure consistent high quality results.
DESIRABLE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess an Associate degree in Electronic Technology or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum of 3 years equivalent industry experience.
- Possess working knowledge of technical (test) standards, methods, and equipment.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in the soldering leaded, surface-mount and fine-pitch components.
- Familiarity with ESD control.
